ছোট্ট জীবন
আর.এ রাশেদ
সেই দিনই তো ছিলাম শিশু!
কিশোর হঠাৎ আজ;
কাল-ই তো আবার সাজতে হবে
সুরমা-আতরে সাজ।
জীবন নামের পাখিটাতো
চলছে খুবই দ্রুত,
তার সাথে মিলে যেন
নদীর প্রবল স্রোত ও।
পাকা ডালিমের রং যেন
বয়ে যায় দেহে-
ত তেজ দেখাবে মন
থেমে যাবে অবশেষে।
জীবন তরী আসবে যখন
প্রতিকূলের তীরে,
হাজার চেষ্টা করলেও আর
শক্তি পাবে না ফিরে।
জীবনটাকে বৃহৎ ভেবে-
করো না অবহেলা,
আয়ুর কাটা থামবে যখন
ফুরিয়ে যাবে বেলা।
জীবনটাকে ভাবো মানব
মাটির তৈরি হাড়ি,
মাটিই যে তার রক্ত-মাংস
মাটিই শেষ বাড়ি ।।
