নৌবাহিনীর কর্মকর্তাকে মারধরের অভিযোগে গ্রেপ্তার হওয়ার পরে হাজী সেলিম ও তার ছেলে ইরফান সেলিমের ‘অবৈধ সম্পদের’ তথ্য সংগ্রহ করতে শুরু করেছে দুর্নীতি দমন কমিশন (দুদক)। বুধবার দুপুরে দুদক প্রধান কার্যালয়ে কমিশনার (অনুসন্ধান) মো. মোজাম্মেল হক খান সাংবাদিকদের এক প্রশ্নের জবাবে এ কথা জানান।
তিনি বলেন, সংসদ সদস্য হাজী সেলিম ও তার ছেলে ইরফান সেলিমের অবৈধ সম্পদের বিষয়ে তথ্য সংগ্রহ করা হচ্ছে। এসব যদি দুদক আইনে তফসিলভুক্ত হয় তাহলে তা তদন্ত করে দেখা হবে।
কমিশনার মোজাম্মেল হক আরো বলেন, ‘অবৈধ সম্পদের বিষয়গুলো যদি দুদকের তফসিলের সাথে সম্পর্কিত হয় এবং তফসিলভুক্ত অপরাধের শামিল হয় তাহলে আমরা এটি খতিয়ে দেখব এবং দুদকের আইনে পরে যথাযথ ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করা হবে।’ এছাড়া, দুদক আইনের আওতাভুক্ত হয়ে থাকলে সরকারের জায়গা বা সম্পত্তি দখলের বিষয়েও ব্যবস্থা নেয়া হবে বলে জানান তিনি।
প্রসঙ্গত, রাজধানীর ধানমন্ডি থানায় রোববার রাতে ইরফানসহ চারজনের নাম উল্লেখ করে এবং অজ্ঞাতনাম কয়েকজনকে আসামি করে একটি মামলা দায়ের করেন নৌবাহিনীতে কর্মরত লেফটেন্যান্ট ওয়াসিফ আহমেদ।
মামলার অভিযোগে বলা হয়, রোববার রাত পৌনে ৮টার দিকে রাজধানীর নীলখেত থেকে কিছু বই কিনে স্ত্রীকে নিয়ে মোটরসাইকেলযোগে নিজেদের মোহাম্মদপুরের বাসায় ফিরছিলেন লেফটেন্যান্ট ওয়াসিফ। পথে ধানমন্ডির ল্যাবএইড হাসপাতারের কাছে একটি প্রাইভেটকার তাদের মোটরসাইকেলকে ধাক্কা দেয়। পরবর্তীতে প্রাইভেটকার থেকে কয়েকজন বেরিয়ে এসে ওয়াসিফকে মারধর এবং তার স্ত্রীকে অকথ্য ভাষায় গালাগাল করে।
