বগুড়া থেকে মদ খেয়ে মোটরসাইকেল নিয়ে সিরাজগঞ্জ যাওয়ার পথে নয়মাইল এলাকায় মোটরসাইকেল গর্তে পড়ে দুইজন গুরুতর আহত হয়েছে । আহতরা হলেন সিরাজগঞ্জ জেলার চককুপ দাস পাড়া গ্রামের আতাহার শেখের ছেলে আব্দুল করিম (৩০) ও একই এলাকার হাফিজুরের ছেলে ইউসুফ শেখ(২৮) । বৃহস্পতিবার (২৮ জানুয়ারি) রাত্রে সাড়ে দশটায় নয়মাইল এলাকায় এ দুর্ঘটনাটি ঘটে । শেরপুর ফায়ার সার্ভিস সূত্রে জানা যায় , বগুড়া থেকে প্রয়োজনীয় কাজ শেষ হয় মোটরসাইকেল যোগে সিরাজগঞ্জ যাওয়ার পথে নয়মাইল এলাকায় পৌঁছালে করতে মোটরসাইকেল পড়ে দুইজন গুরুতর আহত হয় । স্থানীয়রা শেরপুর ফায়ার সার্ভিসকে খবর দিলে তারা দ্রুত ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছে তাদেরকে উদ্ধার করে শেরপুর উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে নিয়ে এসে ভর্তি করা হয় । স্থানীয় এলাকাবাসীরা জানান , তারা মদ পান করে মোটরসাইকেল চালানোর কারণে এ দুর্ঘটনা ঘটছে ,তাদের মুখ থেকে মদের গন্ধ আসছে এজন্য আমরা তাদেরকে নিয়ে যেতে পারিনি ফায়ার সার্ভিসকে খবর দিয়েছে । শেরপুর ফায়ার সার্ভিস লিডার হাবিবুর রহমান জানান, আমরা ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছে তাদেরকে উদ্ধার করে স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে নিয়ে আসি ।
