চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জের জনপ্রিয় ফেসবুক গ্রুপ বেটার চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জ (বিসি)’র উদ্যোগে জেলার বিভিন্ন স্থানে প্রতি বছরের ন্যায় গরীব অসহায় দুস্থ মানুষের মাঝে শীতবস্ত্র বিরতণ করেছে সংগঠনটি। ১৪ই জানুয়ারি বৃহস্পতিবার চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জ সদর উপজেলার পৌরসভার ১০ ও ১৫ নং ওয়ার্ডে রাজরামপুর এলাকায় একযোগে গরীব অসহায় দুস্থের মাঝে সংগঠনের কর্মীরা ১ম দফায় শীতবস্ত্র বিতরণে অংশ নেন। আগামীকাল ১৫ জানুয়ারি আবারো ২য় দফায় ১৪ নং ওয়ার্ড সহ শিবগঞ্জ উপজেলা ও নাচোল উপজেলায় শীতবস্ত্র বিতরণ কর্মসূচি অনুষ্ঠিত হবে।
শীতবস্ত্র বিতরণ অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন বেটার চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জ গ্রুপের পরিচালনা কমিটির অন্যতম সদস্য মোঃ আবদুল্লাহ সুজন, মোঃ মেহেদি মিরাজ, মোঃ আব্দুল্লাহ, শিবগঞ্জ উপজেলা প্রতিনিধি সাংবাদিক মোঃ শাহীন ও নাচোল উপজেলা প্রতিনিধি সাংবাদিক মোঃ সারোয়ার রনি।
বেটার চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জ ফেসবুক গ্রুপের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা মোঃ সোহেল বিশ্বাস বলেন, বেটার চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জ গ্রুপ একটি অরাজনৈতিক সেচ্ছাসেবী ফেসবুক ভিত্তিক সংগঠন। আমরা প্রতি বছর বিভিন্ন সময় যুবকদের নিয়ে বিভিন্ন সামাজিক উন্নয়নমূলক কার্যক্রম পরিচালনা করে থাকি। শীতবস্ত্র বিতরণ, দুস্থদের মাঝে খাবার সামগ্রী বিতরণ, করোনাকালীন সময়ে মাস্ক, হ্যান্ড স্যানিটাইজার স্বাস্থ্য সামগ্রী বিতরণ ছাড়াও বিভিন্ন সামাজিক সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধি, বাল্যবিবাহ প্রতিরোধ, নারী নির্যাতন ও ধর্ষণের প্রতিবাদ ইত্যাদি প্রচারে অংশ গ্রহন করে থাকি। ফেসবুক গ্রুপের মাধ্যমে রক্ত সংগ্রহ করে দেয়া,সচেতনতা মূলক বিভিন্ন পোস্ট, প্রশাসন ও সরকারের পক্ষে বিভিন্ন ক্যাম্পেইন প্রচার, স্বাস্থ সচেতনতা ইত্যাদি প্রচার করে থাকি।
তিনি আরও বলেন, আমাদের কিছু প্রবাসী ভাই আমাদের সংগঠনের সাথে আছে ও উন্নয়নে শক্ত ভূমিকা রাখছে বিশেষ করে মোঃ মিজানুর রহমান সাইপ্রাস প্রবাসী ও মোঃ শামিম, কাতার প্রবাসী ভায়েরা সামাজিক কার্যক্রমে বিভিন্নভাবে সহায়তা করছে। এছাড়া সদরের বাইরে শিবগঞ্জ উপজেলা থেকে অন্যতম সদস্য আলমগীর জয়, মোঃ শাহিন আলম(আফ্রিদি), নাচোল থেকে সারোয়ার রনি, কুষ্টিয়া থেকে আব্দুল হালিম আকাশ ও সিলেট থেকে এস এ শরিফ বিশেষ অবদান রেখেছেন। আমাদের সাথে এ এস এ সোহাগ ও সারোয়ার রনি ২ জন গণমাধ্যম কর্মীও যুক্ত আছেন এবং সামাজিক কার্যক্রমে অংশ নিচ্ছেন।
তিনি বলেন, বেটার চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জ এর ভবিষৎ পরিকল্পনা সামাজিক কার্যক্রম চালিয়ে যাওয়া। এজন্য সবার সহায়তা কামনা করছি।
