মুজিব শতবর্ষ উপলক্ষে মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার উপহার দেশের সকল ভূমিহীন ও
গৃহহীনদের জন্য গৃহ দান কার্যক্রমের শুভ উদ্বোধন করার পরেএরই
ধারাবাহিকতায় আশ্রয়ন-২ প্রকল্পের আওতায় বগুড়া, শাজাহানপুরের
১৫টি ভূমিহীন ও গৃহহীন পরিবারের মাঝে জমির দলিলসহ নতুন ঠিকানার যাবতীয় কাগজপত্র
তাদের হাতে তুলে দেয়া হয়।

জানুয়ারি) মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা সারা দেশব্যাপী এ
কার্যক্রমের আনুষ্ঠানিক ভাবে উদ্বোধন করেন এবং এরই ধারাবাহিকতায় এ উপজেলায় নতুন
ঠিকানায় উঠলেন ১৫টিভূমিহীন ও গৃহহীন পরিবার। অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি
হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন প্রভাষক সোহরাব হোসেন ছান্নু, চেয়ারম্যান, উপজেলা
পরিষদ, শাজাহানপুর। সভাপতিত্ব করেন মাহমুদা পারভীন,
উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার, শাজাহানপুর,
এ ছাড়াও সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্তৃপক্ষদের নিয়ে উপকার
ভোগীদের হাতে জমির কাগজপত্র সহ একটি করে ফোল্ডার হস্তান্তরের মাধ্যমে পরিবারগুলোকে
বুঝে দিলেন তাঁদের মুজিববর্ষে নতুন ঠিকানা।
এ উপজেলার চারটি ইউনিয়নে ১৫টি বাসগৃহ এলাকার
মনোরম পরিবেশে নির্মাণ করা হয়েছে। দেখলে মনে হয় এ যেন নতুন কোন এক ছোট শহর। এ সকল
গৃহের কারণে যেমন বদলে গেছে ওই এলাকার রূপ, তেমনি ভাগ্য বদলের কারণে অত্যন্ত খুশি এর
সুফলভোগি ভূমিহীন ও গৃহহীণ পরিবারসহ এলাকাবাসীও।
প্রধানমন্ত্রীর
দেয়া এ ঘরে সারাজীবন কাটাবেন ভূমিহীন ও গৃহহীনরা। যারা আগে অন্যের জমিতে, কেউবা
কারো বাড়ির এক কোণে, আবার কেউ রাস্তার পাশে ঝুপড়ী ঘরে অভিশপ্ত জীবন কাটাতেন।
তারা আজ প্রধানমন্ত্রীর মুজিববর্ষে উপহার হিসেবেজমিসহ
গৃহ পেয়ে আনন্দে আত্মহারা।
সুফলভোগি ভূমিহীন
ও গৃহহীণ পরিবারের সদস্যরা জানান যে,
আমারা এ বাড়ি পেয়ে খুবিই খুশি হইছি, বঙ্গবন্ধু
আর প্রধানমন্ত্রীর জন্যে দোয়া করি। শেখ হাসিনা অনেকদিন বেঁচে থাকুক এ কামনা করি। এমন
করে তারা প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার দীর্ঘায়ূ কামনাসহ জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ
মুজিবুর রহমানের আত্নার শান্তি কামনা করেন।
ভূমিহীন ও
গৃহহীনদের জন্য নির্মিত গৃহগুলো ব্যয় ধরা হয়েছে ১ লাখ ৭৫ হাজার টাকা। এসব গৃহে
থাকছে ২টি বেডরুম, ১টি করে কিচেনরুম এবং ১ টি বাথরুম সহ সামনে খোলা বারান্দা।
ওপরে কালার টিনশেডের শক্ত ছাউনি দিয়ে সেমিপাকা ঘরগুলো নির্মাণ কাজ হয়েছে।ইউএনও
মহোদয় নিজেই উপস্থিত থেকে এ কাজে সার্বক্ষণিক তদারকি করেন। নির্মাণ কাজের
কোন প্রকার অনিয়ম যেন না হয় সে দিকে তিনি সর্বদাই বিশেষ নজর রেখেছেন।
