ভিনগ্রহের প্রাণীদের নিয়ে মানুষের আগ্রহের কমতি নেই! এ নিয়ে বেশ কিছু চলচ্চিত্রও তৈরি হয়েছে। কিন্তু বাস্তবে কেউ হলফ করে বলতে পারেন না, সত্যিই এলিয়েন-দের অস্তিত্ব রয়েছে! কখনও পৃথিবীতে সেইসব প্রাণীদের অদ্ভুত যান নিয়ে আসার কথা কেউ কেউ প্রচার করেছেন। তবে দিনের শেষে দেখা গিয়েছে, সবটাইই রটনা। আদতে ভিনগ্রহী বা তাদের অদ্ভুতদর্শন যানের বাস্তবে অস্তিত্বের কোনও প্রমাণ এখনও পাওয়া যায়নি।
বিজ্ঞানীরা অবশ্য হাল ছাড়েননি। বছরের পর বছর ধরে ভিনগ্রহীদের খুঁজতে দিন-রাত এক করছেন তারা। তবে সেই খোঁজ আন্দাজে চলছে না। অনেক সময় ভিনগ্রহের প্রাণীদের অস্তিত্বের কিছু আবছা প্রমাণ মেলে। সেই অতিসূক্ষ প্রমাণের রেখা ধরেই আবার খোঁজ শুরু করেন বিজ্ঞানীরা। তেমনই হল আবার।
বিজ্ঞানীদের একটি দলের দাবি, ব্রক্ষ্ণাণ্ডের কোনও এক অংশ থেকে রহস্যজনক রেডিও সিগন্যাল আসছে। সেই সিগনাল সেকেন্ড-এরও কম সময় স্থায়ী হচ্ছে। তবে সেই সিগন্যাল বৈদ্যুতিক ক্ষেত্র তৈরি করছে। আর সেই সিগন্যালের বৈদ্যুতিক তরঙ্গ সূর্যের থেকেও কয়েক গুণ শক্তিশালী। ব্রক্ষ্ণাণ্ডের কোনও নিকটবরতী অংশ থেকে এর আগে এমন ফাস্ট রেডিও সিগন্যাল আসেনি বলে দাবি করেছেন বিজ্ঞানীরা।

সেই তরঙ্গ এত কম সময় স্থায়ী হচ্ছে যে বিজ্ঞানীরা তার উৎস ধরতে পারছেন না। বিজ্ঞানীরা আন্দাজের বশেই বলছেন, এমন ফাস্ট রেডিও বার্স্টস আসছে ব্রক্ষ্ণাণ্ডের কোনও অংশ থেকে। হতে পারে ভিনগ্রহের প্রাণীদের ব্যবহার করা কোনও প্রযুক্তির জন্যই এমন রেডিও সিগন্যাল তৈরি হচ্ছে। আর সেই সিগনাল ব্রক্ষ্ণাণ্ডের বাইরে থেকে আসাও অসম্ভব নয় বলে দাবি করেছেন তারা।
কিয়োশি মাশুই নামের একজন অধ্যাপক জানান, ২৭ এপ্রিল থেকে এই রেডিও সিগনাল আসছে ক্রমাগত। তবে সেটা সেকেন্ড-এরও কম সময় স্থায়ী হচ্ছে। তবে এই সিগনাল মিল্কি ওয়ে থেকে আসছে বলেই আন্দাজ করছেন তিনি।
পদার্থবিদ্যার অধ্যাপক কিয়োশি মাশুই ও তার টিম এই সিগনালের উৎস খোঁজার কাজে নেমেছেন। এর আগে ২০০৭ সালেও ব্রক্ষ্ণাণ্ডের কোনও এক অংশ থেকে এমন রেডিও সিগন্যাল এসেছিল।
