শনিবার (২৩ জানুয়ারি) প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা কতৃক গৃহপ্রদান কার্যক্রমের শুভ উদ্বোধনের সাথে সাথেই প্রথমধাপের প্রথম দিনে জেলায় ৫৪২ টি ভূমিহীন ও গৃহহীন পরিবারের মাঝে মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রীর বিশেষ উপহার হিসেবে নবনির্মিত গৃহের ও জমির মালিকানা হস্তান্তর করা হয়।
উল্লেখ্য যে, মুজিববর্ষে মৌলভীবাজার জেলায় প্রথম ধাপে ১১২৬ টি গৃহহীন ও ভূমিহীন পরিবারকে পুনর্বাসিত করা হবে।
বিশেষতঃ মুজিববর্ষে মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রীর বিশেষ উপহার হিসেবে নবনির্মিত গৃহ পাবেন প্রায় ৯ লাখ গৃহহীন ও ভূমিহীন পরিবার। তম্মধ্যে উদ্বোধনি দিনের প্রথম ধাপের প্রথম দিনে প্রধানমন্ত্রীর উপহারের ঘর পেলেন ৬৯ হাজার ৯০৪ টি ভূমিহীন ও গৃহহীন পরিবার।
